I am still in a little bit of shock from Monday's RHONY reunion. Those girls had their claws out and were out of their minds mean. Yesterday, the trailer came out for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. This has been my favorite and I can't wait for September when it debuts. The trailer is full of drama..so it continues on the west coast!

Mean Girl Kind of Day

My day started off so pleasantly...I ran a few errands on my way to work, dropped something off at one of my stores and then headed to Einstein's for a treat. The door closed behind me and on top of my sandal as I was still walking. In a split second, the right hand side of my Jack Rogers came out! Ugh!!!

I have been so careful with this pair, hardly gotten wet and still not dirty. I hobbled into Einsteins, ordered my pretzel bagel and large diet coke to go..and then when I put my cup up to the fountain, saw this...

My day went from bad to worse and I have been in Mean Girl mode for the rest of the day. During lunch, I was scanning Twitter and found this... Suri's Burn Book on Tumblr. Now...I usually don't condone anything mean spirited online..but it is so funny. This is one of my favorite posts on it...

Seraphina Affleck was photographed this week wearing (gasp) a hand-me-down from her sister Violet. I understand the need for even the upper crust of Hollywood society to be frugal these days. But fashion is not the place to skimp! This dress is SO 2008.

In fact, it’s possible that this very dress is my hand-me-down, as I started this trend three years ago.


It’s tacky to be seen in the same outfit twice, so once I’ve worn something, I have Katie send my dresses to less fortunate children, like Violet.

Falling Behind the Times....

For years, I have always been so proud of myself that I can hook up any VCR, cable box, DVD player, etc... I usually can get fix my smaller computer problems without asking for help, but some of these new social media outlets are leaving me very frustrated...

Pinterest...I signed up. I finally figured out how to download the Pin it deal on my tool bar. I go to a website and click the button and it asks me questions that I can't answer! There are so many of my friends on Pinterest by now, it cannot be that difficult, but seriously, I sort of already gave up. Then writing this post, I made myself pin one thing..so I have one pin! Follow me here.

Tumblr seems like an online scrapbook that you can steal from anyone you see. It is the only website where this is appropriate. I signed up and then just didn't get started. How many things should one person have to update?

The other frustrating thing is when social media outlets make big changes and then you have to do all the work cleaning up the mess. Years ago, I started a Kristin Pearce Designs group on Facebook. I had over 200 members and would message my events and such. I didn't take advantage of this page and when it occurred to me that I was missing out of the beauty of Facebook being free and having access to almost 800 friends, I went to my group page and it was scheduled to be archived!!! I apparently did not have enough activity. So, it will be archived in the months ahead. Then, I started a page for my business and tried to get my peeps from the first one to move over to the second. Two months later, I still have more than half of the people in my old group. They will not click on the link and LIKE my new page. It is so frustrating. If you will, please LIKE my new page..it will make this blogger so happy.

Am I the only one out there that thinks any 8 year old could figure this stuff out faster than you??? Don't even start me on blog followers. I have been stuck around 450 forever. I was at 451 and then lost one the other day. I almost shed a tear. Don't get me wrong, 450 followers is amazing..but 500 would be so much fun. I met a cute boy last weekend and within 10 minutes, had him following my blog. He didn't even know what we was doing. I usually am not so sneaky, but the competitive streak in me is starting to really show!!!!

What's a Little Spanx?

Every website I checked this morning had a blurb about Khloe Kardashian and her exposed Spanx in New York. At this point, don't we all assume that everyone wears them at one time or another??? I can almost guarantee that every star on any red carpet these days is wearing them unless they are 14 years old. Gwyneth even admitted to wearing 2 pairs at the same time after having Apple. You just have to be careful when getting out of cars...

Restraint

So the pictures of Katie and Suri frolicking in the pool at Soho House are making me crazy. I live about 15 minutes away from this pool and could ask any of my friends who are members to take me as a guest. BFF Hoby texted me today to say "you are going to die..call me". Of course I called immediately, knowing this type of emergency text is reserved for VIP celeb sightings. He and his wife were sitting right next to Katie and Suri by the pool on lounge chairs and didn't even realize it until they were leaving! I have to suspect that some champagne was involved in this outing to not have seen the fuss around the Cruises, but can you imagine? I am dying for a sighting and feel like I am running out of time. The movie they are filming has to be almost finished. Will keep you posted on my stalking exploits....

All About Packaging...Trader Joe's

For years, I have been hearing about the fabulous Trader Joe's. One of my Newport roommates used to bring snacks to our house, picked up on the way down. Lately, it seems that Trader Joe's are popping up in all sorts of places, of course not in Miami. It is described as a Costco meets Whole Foods. Very interesting. On our Monday adventure to Providence, we made a pit-stop at Trader Joe's and I stealthily snapped some pics. I was blown away at how pretty everything was displayed and how fabulous all their packaging was...

This Kettle Corn was my favorite..

And then...rows of rows of fabulous items. All reasonably priced.




I loved Trader Joe's. Please build one in South Florida!!!!!!!
